Mobile Application Privacy Policy – June 2018

The WeType VoiceMaster mobile app for Apple and Android devices is designed and owned by WeType Limited.

This Privacy Policy has been established to help you understand our commitment to protecting your privacy with respect to information, including personally identifiable information (PII) in connection with the mobile app.

Personal Information

Your privacy is very important to us. We developed the WeType VoiceMaster Voice Recorder to cover data protection issues raised by the introduction of legislation such as GDPR.

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information such as when you create an account for access to the Transcription Services or contact us with inquiries. When creating an account, we only collect your name, email, and an encrypted password, and this information is used only to identify you when you submit audio files for transcription.

You can log into your account on DictationMaster and edit your personal data at any time. You have the right to change any and all of your information at any time.

Your audio materials are used for transcription purposes only when you choose to have them transcribed. You can be guaranteed that all audio materials will not be shared with anyone. Under no circumstance does WeType Limited sell your information to or share your information with anyone at any time.

Secure Storage

We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is stored securely. All of the audio files you upload to be transcribed as well as the transcription documents are stored on secure storage servers, and cannot be accessed by anyone other authorized members of WeType staff and the individual transcriptionist allocated to your file. Sending such information is still entirely at your own risk.

Privacy Policy In Regards To Children

WeType does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal information through the Site, Service or App. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the App or Service without their permission.

No Advertising

VoiceMaster contains no advertising of any kind.

No Charging

VoiceMaster is a free download for all WeType clients and account holders. No charging will ever be applied to the continued use of the app.

Permissions

To work properly, WeType and VoiceMaster requires the following permissions:

1. Phone – read phone status and identity
2. Storage – read, modify, or delete the contents of your USB storage
3. Microphone – record audio
4. Other – view network connections, full network access, change your audio settings, prevent device from sleeping

Changes to Privacy Policy

WeType Limited reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. Your continued use of the app and service we provide after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy. All changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. In case of significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice. It was last modified on June 11th 2018.
